TERMS AND CONDITIONS
VOLTEAM
These Terms and Conditions govern all cleaning services provided by Volteam ("the Company") to the customer ("the Client"). By booking services with the Company, the Client agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
1. SERVICES
The Company provides domestic and/or commercial cleaning services including regular cleaning, deep cleaning, end of tenancy cleaning, office cleaning, Airbnb cleaning, and other agreed cleaning services.
All services will be carried out with reasonable care and skill.
2. BOOKINGS
Bookings may be made by phone, email, website, social media, or messaging platforms.
A booking is confirmed once:
- the Company accepts the booking; and
- the Client receives confirmation.
The Company reserves the right to refuse or cancel bookings at its discretion.
3. PRICING AND PAYMENTS
Full payment is required prior to confirming the booking.
Prices are based on:
- property size;
- condition of the property;
- service type;
- estimated time required; and
- any additional requested services.
Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due:
- immediately upon completion of the service; or
- within the invoice terms provided.
Accepted payment methods may include:
- bank transfer;
- cash;
- card payment;
- direct debit; or
- online payment links.
Late payments may result in:
- suspension of services;
- additional charges;
- debt recovery action.
4. CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING
The Client must provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a booking.
Where less than 24 hours notice is provided, the Company reserves the right to charge up to 50% of the booked service fee.
If cleaners are unable to access the property at the scheduled appointment time, a lockout fee may apply.
5. ACCESS TO PROPERTY
The Client is responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the property.
If keys, alarm codes, parking permits, or entry instructions are required, these must be provided before the appointment.
The Company will take reasonable care with all keys and access information.
6. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
The Client agrees to:
- provide running water and electricity;
- client is required to provide a vacuum cleaner, mop, and mop bucket for use during the cleaning service.
- the client may choose to provide their own cleaning products, or we can supply all necessary cleaning materials and products as part of our service.
- ensure the property is safe to work in;
- secure valuables and fragile items;
- inform the Company of hazards or risks;
- ensure pets are controlled where necessary.
The Company reserves the right to refuse services where conditions are unsafe.
7. CLEANING RESULTS
Cleaning results may vary depending on:
- age and condition of surfaces;
- previous maintenance;
- permanent staining;
- mould;
- limescale;
- damage;
- wear and tear.
The Company cannot guarantee removal of all stains, marks, mould, odours, or damage.
8. ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Additional tasks requested during the appointment may:
- increase service time;
- result in additional charges; or
- require rescheduling.
The Company reserves the right to refuse additional requests.
9. SATISFACTION GUARANTEE
If the Client is dissatisfied with the service provided, they must notify the Company within 24 hours of service completion.
The Company may, at its discretion:
- return to re-clean affected areas;
- provide partial credit; or
- offer another reasonable solution.
No refunds or re-cleans will be provided where:
- the issue results from pre-existing conditions;
- the Client was present during the service and approved the work;
- another contractor or occupant interfered after cleaning.
10. LIABILITY
The Company shall take reasonable care while performing services.
However, the Company is not liable for:
- pre-existing damage;
- wear and tear;
- faulty fixtures or fittings;
- deterioration of surfaces;
- damage caused by unstable furniture or improperly installed items;
- indirect or consequential losses.
Any claims for accidental damage must be reported within 24 hours.
Liability is limited to the value of the cleaning service provided.
11. INSURANCE
The Company maintains appropriate public liability insurance where required.
Proof of insurance may be provided upon request.
12. HEALTH AND SAFETY
The Company reserves the right to refuse or stop work where:
- hazardous materials are present;
- conditions are unsafe;
- aggressive or abusive behaviour occurs;
- there is a risk to staff safety.
Additional charges may apply for extreme cleaning conditions, biohazards, excessive clutter, or heavy contamination.
13. CONFIDENTIALITY
The Company respects Client privacy and will not disclose personal information except where required by law.
Any keys, alarm codes, or access information will be kept confidential.
14. SUBCONTRACTORS
The Company may use trained subcontractors or self-employed cleaners to provide services.
All subcontractors are expected to comply with the Company’s standards and policies.
15. TERMINATION OF SERVICES
The Company reserves the right to terminate or refuse services immediately where:
- payments remain unpaid;
- abusive behaviour occurs;
- unsafe conditions exist;
- these Terms and Conditions are breached.
Clients may terminate recurring services by providing written notice.
16. FORCE MAJEURE
The Company shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform services due to events beyond reasonable control including:
- severe weather;
- transport disruption;
- illness;
- government restrictions;
- emergencies;
- natural disasters.
17. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
18. CHANGES TO TERMS
The Company reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time.
Updated versions will apply to future bookings.
